Technical Product Marketing Manager
We’re looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing team at Akeyless.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background who would like to transition to Product Marketing. This role will report to our Director of Product Marketing and will work closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success and Sales teams to build effective content related to industry specific pain points. This role will sit at the intersection of Product Management and Marketing to create the content needed to educate our prospects and customers on the Akeyless platform's value and competitive differentiation.
The Technical Product Marketing Manager will use their technical expertise and marketing talent to crisply articulate our value propositions, to inform product strategy, understand the competitive landscape, and position our products in the market. You will be the lynchpin to driving success of positioning and marketing to our more technical community. You will develop a technical marketing content strategy that will help our prospects and customers understand what is possible with the Akeyless platform/product lines, by creating highly technical and compelling content.
Responsibilities include:
- Translate technical features into content that will drive marketing and sales efforts forward, including blog posts, videos, demos, sales enablement trainings, presentations, and sales enablement and marketing campaign collateral
- Use a deep understanding of the product’s technology to drive strategy around technical content creation, understanding what is required for customer and partner success
- Assist in the planning of new product launches and releases and create supporting technical content
- Create competitive overviews based on feature analysis
- Lead technical product marketing programs and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan such that sales teams, field marketing, and partner organizations are properly informed about all technical and thought leadership content
- Present technical marketing content to both internal and external audiences
- Engage customers, partners, and analysts in online communities and social media, leveraging your technical marketing and thought leadership content
Requirements
- Strong technical background with at least 3 years of experience in development, sales engineering, product management or solution consulting in one or more of these market areas: Secrets Management, Identity & Access Management, Privileged Access Management, Data Protection, Application Security, and/or DevOps
- Proven marketing writing skills, including the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of highly technical features, value propositions and key differentiators
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Native English speaker
Preferred:
- Familiarity with DevOps and the DevOps environment
- Exceptional people skills to interact with executives, colleagues, cross-functional teams, partners, and customers
- Technical/Engineering related degree
