Responsible AI Usage Policy

The rapid growth of AI and intelligent agents brings promising innovation and new challenges. Akeyless makes responsible AI practical and scalable, freeing to accelerate trusted AI innovation, building a responsible practice to gain Customers’ confidence and trust. When using the Akeykess AI Offering, Customer and Authorized Users must evaluate the potential risks of use case and implement appropriate human oversight, testing, and other use case-specific safeguards to mitigate such risks. Consequential decisions include those impacting a person’s fundamental rights, health, or safety (e.g., medical diagnosis, judicial proceedings, access to critical benefits like housing or government benefits, opportunities like education, decisions to hire or terminate employees, or access to lending, credit, and providing legal, financial, or medical advice).

Although the Akeyless AI Offering is not intended or designed to provide such predictions or solutions, this Responsible AI Usage Policy (“Policy”) is intended to help prevent unlawful or inappropriate use of the AI Offering, including use that may contribute to model drift or hallucinations and could enable prohibited uses described below. This Policy governs the use of the AI Offering and is an integral part of the AI Terms and Conditions, which it is referenced from (“AI Terms”).

Customer and Authorized Users are responsible for all decisions made, advice given, actions taken, and failures to act based on your use of AI Offering. Output generated by a machine learning model is probabilistic, and generative AI may produce inaccurate or inappropriate content. Outputs should be evaluated for accuracy and appropriateness.

Akeyless may enforce violations of this Policy as noted in the AI Terms and is committed to developing safe, fair, and accurate AI Offering and providing you with tools and guidance to assist you in building and using such features and applications responsibly.

Akeyless may update this Policy from time to time by posting a revised version. Any updates will become effective upon posting, as reflected by the “Last updated” date shown above.

Prohibited Use

Customers may not use AI Offering, nor allow Authorized Users or any third party to use any AI Offering for any of the purposes listed below:

For intentional disinformation or deception.
To violate the privacy rights of others, including unlawful tracking, monitoring, and identification.
To depict a person’s voice or likeness without their consent or other appropriate rights, including unauthorized impersonation and non-consensual sexual imagery.
For harm or abuse of a minor, including grooming and child sexual exploitation.
To harass, harm, or encourage the harm of individuals or specific groups.
To intentionally circumvent safety filters and functionality or prompt models to act in a manner that violates Akeyless’s policies.
To perform a lethal function in a weapon without human authorization or control.
As part of an automated decision-making lending or candidate screening, or any scoring of any kind.
To generate individualized advice that, in the ordinary course of business, would be provided by a licensed professional. This includes, for example, financial and legal advice, medical advice, treatment or diagnosis.
To detect, infer, or assess individuals’ emotions in the workplace or in educational institutions.
To engage in fraud, scams, or other deceptive practices, or to impersonate individuals (living or dead) without explicit disclosure and consent.
To submit images, videos, or audio recordings of individuals for the purposes of creating, analyzing, or categorizing based on, biometric identifiers, such as face prints or fingerprints or scans of eyes, hands, voiceprints, or facial geometry.
To create, distribute, or facilitate spam, phishing, or malware, or to misuse, damage, interfere with, or disrupt Akeyless’s infrastructure, Services, AI Offering, or other Customers’ use of the Services.
To attempt to bypass, disable, or manipulate AI Offering safety filters, content moderation systems, or security mechanisms.

Illegal or Dangerous Activities

Customers may not use a AI Offering, nor allow its Authorized Users or any third party to use any AI Offering, for the following:

Encourage or support terrorism, violent extremism, or human trafficking.
Encourage self-harm, suicide, or violence against individuals or groups.
Provide instructions for or facilitate illegal activities, including the creation or distribution of weapons, controlled substances, or malicious code.
Advertising, marketing, distributing, or selling weapons, weapon accessories, or explosives.
Generating, targeting, or distributing political campaign materials or content intended to influence political processes through deception, without appropriate disclosure.
Creating, sending, or marketing adult content.
Create, distribute, or promote content that is harmful, violent, or hateful (including hate speech), or for bullying, intimidation, offensive conduct, or humiliation of individuals or groups.

Reporting and Appeals

If the AI Offering, its Outputs or otherwise, generates problematic content (including text, code, or insight) that should have been filtered, or nay indicate model drifting or hallucinations, please immediately notify Akeyless at: [email protected].

If your access to the AI Offering has been suspended or terminated due to an alleged violation of this Policy, you may submit an appeal by contacting Akeyless at the same email address set forth above.
